What is wrong with music now???

I love to leason to old music my parents use to leason to when they were teenagers. I love to hear Donna Summers, Frankie Avalon, The Beatles, and so much more. I like rock music now but i am more into oldies. and now all the songs i hear is about haveing s** with a person, or how big her chest is and other stuff like that. I hate that kind of music, why can't we go back to music that you never get tired of and music that you can dance too???

Give this young lady a gold medal!!!!! You are so correct. If the music isn't about sex, its about killing, or another awful facet of life. Bring back the King and all the music that made people feel good instead of doing society wrong!!! You rock!!!

She went back, way back... and although they have up-to-date lyrics... the music sounds the same! Try it!
that kind of music still exists, but not on mainstream radio. try looking for music in places other than the top 40 billboard charts.

there's a whole other world of good music out there, you just have to seek it out.
great question. I grew up listening to chubby checker, the beatles, beach boys all that as well as alice cooper and floyd. I love listening to the oldies, you CAN REALLY hear the music not the nice fake stuff they smooth over everything like they do today
There is lots of music that doesn't have any of that crap in it, it's just not on the radio. All the stuff I listen to is dance-able and totally not offensive. It's out there, you just have to be willing to go find it.
It's too bad music all you hear now is damn rap and hip hop, I even hate typing it out, but that's all there is now. I like listening to oldies from the 60's and late 50's
What about the music your grandparents listen to? Boring, right? That's what todays generation thinks, that kind of music is boring. I'm young and still love the classics, but have to admit some of the older bands are boorrring.
Because money is the problem. Or better yet, the love of money is the problem. These record people don't care whats being said as long as it sells. "Chicken Noodle Soup" is a perfect example of this. I never thought i would be the person that would just listen to old school, but i'm really getting to that point myself. Ignorance is celebrated, sexism is acceptable, talent is not rewarded. It's just sad.
This is sooo true!!! I also find myself going back to the good days of music....What happened? It is hard to find talent, musicians are created just to sell out for the record companies. No Talent, just Crap!!!!!!!

There's a lot to be said about what is wrong with music now. But number one is the music corporations signing the artists. They buy out a lot of talent and shelve it for the few artists they wish to sell and advertise. It's such a shame!

There's no such thing as individuality these days. If you don't fit into a certain sound, there is no place for you in the music industry and the smaller companies cannot afford to advertise many of the better artists.

I can't believe what they put out as perceived "talent". Watching the reality show "Supernova" where Tommy Lee and crew pick out a lead singer, really blew my mind. I have seen many a bar room singer that surpassed what they put out on that stage.

The rest.... It's no wonder they're using songs from the 80's and earlier on most commercials. Not only are the baby boomers the main consumers but that was when music was really music not the **** they put out today!

Nothing's Wrong w/ music, honey, i just changes every generation, you're probably listening to the wrong type of music.. .try listening to something good like Thousand Foot Krutch, Simple Plan, blink-182, Angels and Airwaves, etc ^_^
well, see the thing is that any music group or individual that actually cares about their **** doesnt really care about getting big. when they do reach stardom thats when their music goes to ****. thank god for sites like limewire and old record shops. access to **** from over seas is amazing. and me myself i like all differnt genres of music from oi to rap organ polka punk metal and opera. i think people just dont broaden their horizons enough
