Alternative wedding music/traditions?

Me %26amp; my fiance are getting married in Mexico and having a reception back in London but would love some music ideas or traditions that we could incorporate for both.

We are mostly into alternative, rock/metal/indie music but are really ecletic and will listen to anything (also Mexican love songs would be grand!).

And we need ideas for traditions that would include the Mexican element.

So far the only songs we've decided on are two Kiss songs- I Want You %26amp; I Was Made For Loving You.

Thanks in advance for your help! x

Check out Vedera they are a really great band.

I have a friend who is getting married and his family is from Mexico, one thing they are doing (which I don't completely understand) is to have a lasso that will tie the bride and groom together. They're reception is a Mexican hog roast with a mariachi(sp?) band.

Here is a site with a lot of suggestions

hi im goth and a wedding planner not quite sure on the mexican side of things but i know you can do the whole mexican alternative theme back in london. mexicans are big on the day of death it is very colourful but at same time kind of halloween like maybe a theme like that could go nicely. music wise you cant go wrong with breed 77 although they are from spain many spanish music is simular to mexican music this website lists some mexican rock bands maybe looking at these and seeing if you can get hold of their music might be an idea http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Me... i know it may not be much help if you need any more help i will be glad to help via email. good luck sounds like a brill idea
